So many memories and highlights from our recent trip to India. It is a privilege to be able to travel and experience different culture and food. It’s interesting to see how we imagine the world, about other countries, culture and people. Hihi made so many friends and started conversations wherever we went. It’s funny we as adults sometimes forgot how simple it is to make human connections.
I can’t wait to go back to India. I want to retire in Udaipur!

Come with us #behindthescenes on ‘MILK BABY’, a haunting, intimate short film premiering at this year’s HollyShorts, written & directed by Kristen Gerweck Diaz and produced by Lou Wang-Holborn (@wangxiaolv).
The film’s #cinematographer Jon Keng (@jonkeng) captured the delicate balance between dream and dread with striking precision, shooting on a variety of #Panavision lenses. Keng tells us, “The #Bseries lens was a great choice for Milk Baby as we wanted to capture this romanticized dystopian world in a timeless, retro setting. The B series provided a vintage feel while the barrel distortion, distinct flaring and unique bokeh gave depth to the dystopian backdrop. We paired them with #Ultraspeeds for our wide angle shots when we needed straight lines.”

Motherhood or raising a baby is both beautiful and “horrifying.” Producing can be that way too. I had so much fun and happy pain producing @milkbabyfilm with my beloved friends. Sharing some favorite moments during production.
Will never forget we shot our first day on Friday 13th overnight in a mausoleum while a live immersive Halloween show was happening inside.

Given the state of the world, I've been thinking a lot about what lies ahead. Professionally that means having open and frequent conversations with fellow filmmakers about their creative pivot. How are we adapting to meet this uniquely challenging moment?
Many 🙏 to @filmshop_us for giving this conversation an open forum on Governors Island next Sunday. And my collaborators for helping to organize -

Friends, if you feel like hopping on a ferry on Sunday to Governors, please come and hang out! We'll be holding it down at Nolan Park, Building 4B.
Picnic at noon to start, conversations to follow at 3pm, with plenty of wine in between 🍷

⭐ Don't miss this Sunday's (5/25) film screening of "Chinatown Cha-Cha" in Columbus Park from 8-10pm. Check out @chinatownchacha for more details!
🪭 Grant Avenue Follies bring to life the legacy of San Francisco Chinatown’s golden nightclub era (1940’s to 1970’s). Originally comprised of four retired dancers of the nightclubs, they were following doctor’s orders to exercise for improved physical health. The Follies rediscovered the sheer joy and freedom of dance and reconnected with their roots. They give performances for benefits and at senior retirement homes to show “just because you’re retired, you don’t have to stay in your pajamas all day!”

Still floating from the love we felt on Sunday. 🌸💫
Our Mother’s Day Screening at the Great Star Theater @greatstartheater was a dream come true. It was truly special to share it in the heart of SF Chinatown—on a day honoring the mothers, grandmothers, and women who carry generations of history and love in their steps.
From the Grant Avenue Follies @grantavenue_follies lighting up the stage, to the beautiful reflections during our Dance in Herland book talk moderated by @christineni at On Waverly @onwaverly , to families coming together across generations—it was a day full of laughter, memory, and connection. 💖
A special thank you to the Showgirl Magic Museum @clarion_sf for opening its doors and offering a deeper glimpse into this rich, radiant history. You made the experience even more special.
We’re endlessly grateful to everyone who came and celebrated with us. This was more than a screening—it was a homecoming. 🥹
This is just the beginning of our Generations in Step tour—and we can‘t wait to keep cha-cha’ing forward with you.

🌙✨📽️ FREE community screenings under the stars all summer long!
UnionDocs is headed outdoors this May and June to take full advantage of one of NYC’s greatest offerings: the ready-made cinemas of public park handball courts!
On 𝗝𝗨𝗡 𝟮𝟲, we’re thrilled to partner with @nooksncrannies_nyc to co-present 𝘊𝘏𝘐𝘕𝘈𝘛𝘖𝘞𝘕 𝘊𝘏𝘈-𝘊𝘏𝘈 女人世界 [ @chinatownchacha ], a luminous documentary by 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗮 𝗬𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗮𝗻𝗴 [ @lukayang ] that moves through memory, performance, and identity.
At 92, legendary dancer Coby Yee—former owner of San Francisco’s iconic Forbidden City Nightclub—returns to the stage with the 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 [ @grantavenue_follies ], a senior dance troupe led by Cynthia Yee. Their vibrant routines pay homage to Chinatown’s nightclub heyday while challenging stereotypes around age, gender, and race. Together, they tour across the US, Cuba, and China, bridging diasporic Chinese communities and reconnecting cultural ties.
The film captures Coby’s final journey before her passing at 93, preserving her bold spirit. “Coby treated every performance as if it might be her last,” says Yang, “yet she always returned with incredible vitality.” That spirit lives on in the Follies, who continue to shine with pride, humor, and glittering resilience.

With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
