Just in time for Valentine's Day 💘
If you're a fan of such classics as 'Smells Like Bootylicious' and 'Smack Up My Orinoco Flow' watch this space for a seismic mashup between 'Owner Of A Lonely Heart' (by progsters turned popsters Yes, sampled by everyone from MJ to Alex Kassian) and a much-loved hybrid club hit from 2002 👀
Release tomorrow! 🥳 As usual all proceeds will go to @gladt_e.v
To keep you entertained till then, here's part of the absolutely nuts 🥜 interlude from the OOALH video, featuring members of the band transforming into various critters. If you check the full video, Yes guitarist Steve Howe even turns into a 🦎 Animorphs who?

🔒 ‘In The Pocket’ track-by-track!
Stephen Howe – ‘Lockring’
@stephenhowe
When I released Stephen’s debut solo EP a couple of years ago, he wrote a super interesting ‘Anatomy of an EP’ piece about the process of making it, both in technical terms and also in creative/cerebral terms. I loved how he was able to explain things in a way that made sense even to a layman like me. Well, he’s back! This time with an ‘Anatomy of a Track’ regarding his contribution to this compilation.
buttondown.com/joedelon
(link also in my story)
Spiritually, ‘Lockring’ sits right at the end of the millennium in the UK, when you had Lee Norris aka Metamatics/Norken turning out house-y long-tail Artificial Intelligence listening music (can I call it that?) at the same time as duos like Dem 2 and Ramsey & Fen were picking up Kelly G’s remix of ‘Never Gonna Let You Go’ and making a whole scene out of it. But sonically the track sits on its own and, as Stephen explains in the article, a lot of that is down to his intuitive relationship with the machines in his studio and learning to trust in the process. Who knew 2-step would benefit so much from Phil Collins drums?
Thank you once again Stephen!

Berlin launch party - 7 Nov! 💿
Welt Discos is a multidimensional vibe, so this ‘In The Pocket’ party is a bit different: a night of scratchy frequencies and collective unfolding in Neukölln basement @arkaodaberlin 🌀
+++
CONCERT (midnight)
Gwenan presents a new live modular performance under her project Phase Space. Anyone familiar with her debut LP ‘Degrees Of Freedom’, her work as half of Gin & Tonic (with @eliverveine) or now her track 'Chromatic Turn' on this compilation, will know what to expect: directness, spontaneity, a sense of circuits jumping into life.
+++
DJs (till late)
Label boss @joedelon plays b2b with @stephenhowe, who contributed the track 'Lockring' to the compilation. Stephen's deep interest in the way electronic sounds are made drives not only his own productions (check his EP on Welt Discos and tracks on @rhythmsectionhq and @peachdiscs) but also his long-running SH-101 show on @refugeworldwide.
Gwenan then puts on her DJ hat to go b2b with @dana.kuehr, who joins us from Brussels. Alongside her shimmering productions on @basic_moves_walrus, @dieorakel and now Welt Discos ('Rare Candy'), Dana occupies her own space at the centre of the DJ venn diagram: somewhere between unhinged queer raves, Lacanian afterparties and melting pot festivals like Bonanza, Horst and Waking Life.
+++
Like the experience of hearing the 'In The Pocket' mix itself, this event promises a playful night of listening, moving and feeling.
+++
Cheaper entry before midnight.
Copies of the mix CD will be available for purchase at the party.
Poster, as ever, by the wonderful @marutonkun

The recording from In Focus: Muslimgauze is now on my soundcloud, complete with the tracklist. Three hours of my favourite Muslimgauze tracks, plus a Boss RE-20 delay pedal, recorded live on 24th September 2025 at @ikii.berlin
I was first exposed to Muslimgauze in 2017, when Simon Scott of @triberecordsleeds opened the Mungo's HiFi stage of Dimensions Festival with an all-Muslimgauze set. At the time it wasn't really my thing, but I was intrigued by the sound and I kept my ears open for more in the years that followed. I imagine I had a similar experience to many who cross paths with his music: I picked up a couple of his albums, but his daunting discography put me off from digging deeper.
Over the past few months I've put in a determined effort to listen through most of it. I've discovered a vast expanse of interesting music, a unique soundclash of rhythm, dub and tape loops, all coloured by Bryn Jones's obsession with the Muslim world. I was pleasantly surprised by how much good stuff there is - while there is quite a bit of repetition, much of it is genuinely hypnotic. It's also raw, experimental and fiercely political.
To help prioritise my digging, I went through several lists of other people's top Muslimgauze releases. One thing that struck me was how different these lists all were, and how little they intersected with my own favourites in the end. Different listeners clearly come away with entirely different takes from his discography. So while I hope this recording piques your interest, I strongly encourage you to go on your own Muslimgauze digging journey and find your own personal favourites. Thanks to the crew at Ikii for giving me the opportunity to share mine.

𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗸𝗶𝗶: 𝘐𝘯-𝘍𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴 is dedicated to exploring the depth of a single artist’s work over the course of an evening.
For our launch event, Stephen Howe selects from the vast discography of 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗴𝗮𝘂𝘇𝗲, a singular force in Britain’s rich history of industrial music. Clocking in at over 150 albums, Bryn Jones’s project was politically charged, unflinchingly experimental and invariably hypnotic. Join us in navigating through the mesmerizing atmospheres of 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘭, the fractured dub textures of 𝘉𝘢𝘨𝘩𝘥𝘢𝘥 and the block-rocking beats of 𝘓𝘢𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘦 & 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦.

‘In The Pocket: The Sound Of Welt Discos’
A digital compilation and DJ mix CD curated by Joe Delon.
📅
Out on 26 September!
💫
This set of tunes features Joe’s nearest and dearest. Gwenan is his longest-suffering friend (21 years and counting), while Conversion aka @jcaiado is surely in the running for that title here in Lisbon. @stephenhowe introduced himself over breakfast at a festival in early 2019, while the first recorded mention of @dana.kuehr in the friend archives is Joe asking Gwenan to give Dana a hug after leaving a Brussels afterparty in late 2019. Joe also met @leeon_elo in Brussels, in a pink and purple pétanque hall one Sundaze afternoon in early 2023.

Swipe for a taste of tracks by @jcaiado, Gwenan, @dana.kuehr, @stephenhowe and @leeon_elo in the mix — all now also available in the pre-order.

Last month's SH101 is now up on my soundcloud. This episode explores the wonky world of one of my all-time favourite artists: Lee Norris aka Metamatics aka Norken. I take you through what I consider to be his golden era (1997-2003) with some analysis of his production techniques and influences, but more importantly: stunning tunes.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
